Lacchu is Himalayan Experience's head cook. He was born in 1965 and lives in Kathmandu. He has been to the Base Camp of every 8,000 metre peak and has now been on 28 Himalayan Experience expeditions.

Kul Bahadur Magar

Kul Bahadur was born in 1957 in the Makalu area. He now lives in Kathmandu and has been on X Himalayan Experience expeditions. He can always be spotted by his shiny gold tooth and cheery wake-up call every morning during expedition.

Ramesh Kumar Basned

Ramesh Kumar Basned is from Kathmandu and moved to Pokhara in 1995 because of his wife. Ramesh is known to us as ‘Tashi’ – a name his mother gave him. Tashi who is 39 has worked for Himalayan Experience for 9 years, and has 3 sons.

Phuri Sherpa is from Gaigat in Khumbu. He is 39 years old and has worked as a cook for Himalayan Experience for 7 years. Phuri has both a son and a daughter.  Phuri learnt to cook whilst working for Asian Trekking for 5 years, prior to joining Himalayan Experience.
